Registering

Q. How Do I register to become a member of DuraGuard Products?

A. Click on the Register link located at the top of any page.

  1. Fill out the form, using the instructions. All required fields are indicated with a star (*).
  2. Acceptance of the terms and conditions is required for DuraGuard Products to process your registration form.
  3. Please be advised that DuraGuard Products services the wholesale, contractor, and manufacturing industries, and you will be asked to provide business information before we can process and ship your first order.
  4. Usernames and passwords are granted on a individual basis.
  5. Once you register, DuraGuard Products will confirm receipt of your registration within 5 minutes. You will receive an email confirming your username and password within 48 hours of registration. At the time of the second email, you will be granted access to the website, as a member.

Logging In

Q. What if I forgot my username and password?

A. No problem, just click on "Forgot your password? click here" located on the left side of the home page and enter the e-mail address that is associated with your contact information. We will send your username and password to you, via e-mail, within 5 minutes. For security purposes, this information must be identical, to the information you entered in your Profile/Contact section (located in Profile).

Q. Are my username and password case sensitive?

A. No

Q. Why can't I log in?

A. This could be for various reasons.

  1. Please make sure you are entering your company's username and password, correctly.
  2. Make sure your company is registered. If your company is not registered, click here to register.
  3. To receive your username and password, click "forgot password" and submit your e-mail address. We will send your username and password to you, via e-mail, within 5 minutes.
  4. If you are still having problems, please contact our Customer Service Department at customerservice@duraguardproducts.com or 1-800-845-4815 (Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 6:00 pm PST).

The Quoting and Ordering Process

Locating Products & Searching

Q. How do I search for products?

A. You can locate products several ways:

  1. Click the catalog link at the top of the page
  2. Members can utilize the simple search by entering a keyword, or product number in the text box located on the top right hand side of the page and clicking "go."
  3. In addition to your keyword, you may click on advanced search to filter by category.

Q. How do I browse the catalog?

A. Follow the below instructions to browse through the items in our catalog.

  1. Click on the "Catalog" link, at the top of any page.
  2. Simply click on the product category in which you are interested.
  3. To further narrow your search, click on the subcategory or subcategories within the brand or product lines. ?
  4. Once you find the product(s) you need, click on the product name or image to pull up a full description.
  5. To add the product to your quote cart, simply add the quantity you want and click "add to quote request" located at the bottom of the page.

Q. What are brands?

A. Brands unite similar products into one recognizable name. Click here to browse DuraGuard Products's different brand lines.

Q. What are categories?

A. Categories are groupings of similar products within a brand. Click here to browse the categories.

Q. What are subcategories?

A. Subcategories are divisions within the main, product category. They further sort the products listed.

Q. How do I use the advanced search?

A. The DuraGuard Products advanced search was built to allow our members to quickly locate the products in which they are most interested.

Search by Keyword, product number, or category and subcategory. For example, try entering the below information [Category: Water Connectors Subcategory: Reinforced Vinyl Subcategory: Faucet] Will give you results for all Reinforced Vinyl Faucet Connectors

Placing Quotes

Q. How do I place a quote for DuraGuard Products's catalog products?

A. Placing a quote with DuraGuard Products is easy.

Our easy-to-use online system allows members to choose from thousands of products, read product spec sheets, and add products to their quote cart, with one, easy application.

SUBMITING A QUOTE

  1. To add the product to your quote cart, simply enter in the quantity and click "add to quote," button, located at the bottom of the page. Notice that the products you have just added appear in your "active quote" located in the tan navigation box at the left side of the page. You can change quantity or delete items within your active quote box.
  2. Once you have added all the products you want to your active quote, click "submit quote request". On this screen, members select their contact, designate a quote number. When you are finished click "submit quote" at the bottom of the page. * Required fields are highlighted in red for your convenience.
  3. The quote will be placed under "quotes", for your reference.

Reviewing a Quote

Q. How do I receive & review my returned quote request from DuraGuard Products?

A. DuraGuard Products will retrieve all catalog quotes and reply within 24 hours. Members will be notified via e-mail that they have a quote response from DuraGuard Products. Members can review the quote using that e-mail response, from DuraGuard Products, or they can go to the "quotes" section (located in the "account " tab or on the right side navigation bar). In "quotes", members can review any and all quotes they have requested.

  • Members who wish to revise a quote once they receive it (add or subtract quantities &/or product) will need to click "revise quote" and make changes. This revise quote option allows members to make changes to their quote, without having to place the entire quote, again. Members can also notify DuraGuard Products of revised quotes via e-mail, fax, or phone. If not previously done, members can, at this time request that DuraGuard Products send a sample of the product(s) in which they are interested to them. When the sample(s) is (are) available, DuraGuard Products will have it (them) shipped to the member. (See Request Sample)
  • If you like what you see on the quote (or revise quote) response, you will want to order any or all of the products. When you are ready to place your order, click the green "place order" button at the bottom of the page.

Placing an Order

Q. How do I place an order?

A. Please, follow the instructions, below:

  1. Once you have approved your quote (and sample, if requested), click the green "place order" button at the bottom of the page.
  2. Select your delivery destination, PO number, contact, payment method (credit card, invoice, wire transfer), add any notes, and click "submit."
  3. You will, then, be taken to an "Order Review" screen, to assess your order. Once you have reviewed your order, click "Submit Order."
  4. You will be taken to a final "Order Confirmation" page. This page will display your entire order. You can print a copy of this page for your files; all you need to do is click "Print Order," at the bottom of the screen. You will, also, receive an email from DuraGuard Products confirming your order.
  5. All first time members will be contacted by DuraGuard Products to obtain payment information. Returning members' orders will be automatically processed or will be processed after the member receives a confirmation call from DuraGuard Products. This is dependent upon the terms of your contract and order.
Q. Why Does DuraGuard Products call to confirm orders and receive payment information?

A. For security purposes, DuraGuard Products will contact all members who are ordering for the first time, in order to obtain member payment information. DuraGuard Products has developed a secured files setting that allows us to store your information in a secured environment. Once an initial order is placed, members can choose to store their information with DuraGuard Products or submit their payment information on a per order basis.

  1. If you established your account with DuraGuard Products over the phone at time of registration and granted special yearlong terms, all your payment terms will be stored in your "pricing" section.
  2. If you are ordering for the first time, you will be required to fill out a credit application, and you will be required to pay by, either credit card or Letter of Credit. For more information, please contact your sales representative or Customer Service at DuraGuard Products. (wire transfer)
  3. To check the status of your account and payment terms, click "pricing", contact Customer Service at DuraGuard Products, or contact your sales representative.

Q. How do I track the status of my order and shipping information?

A. DuraGuard Products will contact members, via e-mail, with complete tracking and ship status information.

Account Info

Q. What is Profile?

A. Profile is where you can view your company's account, billing, and shipping information, quotes, orders, pricing (special products).

  1. Log in on the DuraGuard Products home page.
  2. Click "profile." in your account mananger.
  3. Your company's profile page will be displayed. Simply fill in the corrections in the desired fields and click "submit."
To change your personal profile (general contact), billing, or shipping, information, click "click here", make changes to the appropriate fields, and click "submit."

Q. What is Quotes?

A. On the Quotes page, members can retrieve and view all of the quotes that they have placed with DuraGuard Products, giving members complete and up-to-date account records. Members can query for quotes by date, company RFQ number, or DuraGuard Products RFQ Number.

  1. Click on the "quotes" tab in the account manager. For quick access, click on "quotes," located in the tan navigation box located on the right hand side of the page.
  2. To view a quote, click DuraGuard Products's or your RFQ number, and you will be directed to your quote summary.
  3. All quotes that are submitted to DuraGuard Products via fax, phone or online will be placed in the member's "quotes" section for quick and easy reference, 24 hours a day.
  4. To retrieve a copy for your files, either click on the quotes "Member Quote #" or "DuraGuard Products Quote #" then click "Print," at the bottom of the page.
Q. What is "Orders"?

A. On the "Orders" page, members can locate and view the orders that they have placed with DuraGuard Products, giving members complete and up-to-date account records. Members can look up old and new orders by date, your company PO#, DuraGuard Products SO#, or invoice #.

  1. Click on the "account" tab, at the top of the page and click "orders." For quick access, click on "orders," located in the tan navigation box located on the right hand side of the page.
  2. To view an order, click DuraGuard Products's SO# or your company's PO#, and you will be directed to your "Order Summary."
  3. All orders that are submitted to DuraGuard Products via fax, phone or online will be placed in the member's "orders" section for quick and easy reference, 24 hours a day.
  4. To retrieve a copy for your files, click "Print " at the bottom of the page.
